DESTRUCTION OF WAGGA WAGGA BY FLOOD—ONLY FIVE PERSONS SAVED. (From our Goulburn Correspondent.)

SUNDAY NIGHT.-Intelligence has just reached me of the total destruction of the township of Wagga Wagga by flood: only five persons have been saved.

! livery thing is in such a state of confusion that it is utterly impossible to give particulars by this post.

It is believed that the loss of life in the Murrumbidgee is even greater than has been reported.

Peter Stuckey, Esq., late of Long Reach, and family, are missing, and it is feared they have met with a watery grave

The name of their station is Tomblong.

I shall write further on getting particulars. - (Ref- Empire (Sydney, NSW : 1850 - 1875) Thu 8 Jul 1852 Page 3 DESTRUCTION OF WAGGA WAGGA BY FLOOD—ONLY FIVE PERSONS SAVED. )
