1925 - CLUB AT TUMUT.

1930 - NEW CLUB AT TUMUT. - The establishment of a bowling club at Tumut has long been a lending question in that picturesque southern town and has at last become an established fact. At a public meeting held on May 22 a provisional committee of management was appointed with Mr H M Potts as the first hon secretary. The local council is assuming the responsibility of maklng the six-rink green and for the time being the club will be the councils tenant. 1931 - TUMUT CLUB. TUMUT. Thursday. At a meeting of the newly formed Tumut Bowling Club the following office bearers were elected - Patron Dr T B Clouston president Councillor H Godfrey (shire president) vice presidents Messrs W J Stnbback and R M Thompson treasurer Mr H M Potts secretary Mr J A Meagner committee Messrs V Reed H Shearer L J Condon J R Mcinnes C W Williams and Dr C G Olde The new green constructed by the shire council on Lower Richmond Park has been completed and will be ready for play in about two months when the turf ss sufficiently grown. 1932 - TUMUT CLUB.TUMUT, Wednesday. - In the first match of the season, played on Tumut bowling green, Richmond Park, Cooma defeated Tumut by 21 games to 20 The Tumut Bowling Club has decided to affiliate with the New south wales Bowling Association. 1935 TUMUT - Result of the final of the American rink handicap

Mr J Lockeridge has been elected secretary and Mr L Hyne assistant secretary of the Tumut Bowling Club

New Residents. - Prior to their departure for Liverpool Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Potts have been much feed and farewelled at Tumut last week. Mr. Potts was presented with a coffee set by the Cricket Association, and the bank officials presented him with an electric knife. Mrs. Potts received a handbag from a group of lady friends. They were tended a public farewell by the citizens of Tumut, congregation of All Saints' gave them a Wauir hand cut crystal reading lamp, and Mr Potts received a bowler's bag from the Bowling club, to be supplemented by a blazer in the colours of whatever club he joins up. It was intended to present Mr. Potts with a wallet of notes, but the committee appointed at the public meeting decided to keep the subscription list open until after the end of the month when the wallet and its contents will be forwarded to Mr Potts. - (Ref- The Biz (Fairfield, NSW : 1928 - 1954)(about) Previous issue Friday 26 June 1936).
