1848 - Run No.173. Vyner, Frederick Wheeler - Name of run, Mungilidginula. Estimated area, twelve thousand acres. Estimated grazing capabilities, six hundred cattle or four thousand sheep. On the north and east by the Tumut River; on the south by a marked tree line running into the Tumut Ranges, which marked tree line separates my run from Thomas M'Alister's; on the west by a dry creek which runs into the Tumut River at the Police establishment, which divides mine from Shelley's run. - (Ref- The Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954)(about) Previous issue Monday 16 October 1848).

This area was to become closely associated with the development of Tumut. -
