Edward Henry "Ned" LINDBECK who was born in Braidwood, NSW on the 4th September, 1856, being the eldest son of Charles Lindbeck and Kate Tucker. married Miss Selina Maria "Lena" QUARMBY who was born in 1862 in Cooma. They married on the 4th June, 1884, in Batlow (Reedy Flat), NSW. - (REf- NSW BDM 7219/1884). Witnesses Edwin & Lavina Quarmby, her brother and sister. (Edwin later married Ned's sister Jane Lindbewck in 1888.)

1. 1885 Ethel May LINDBECK born on the 1st May, 1885, in Tumut. She died in 1886.

2. 1886 Charles Richard Edgar LINDBECK born on the 1st August, 1886, in Tumut. Died in 1893 results of being kicked in the head by a horse.

3. 1887 Edward Arthur Wesley LINDBECK born in 1888, in Tumut. He married Miss Lillian Pearl DICK.

4. 1889 Maud Grace LINDBECK born on the 25th August, 1889, in Tumut. She is mentioned in the West Blowering School page and photo.

5. 1891 Frederick Thomas LINDBECK born in 1891, in Tumut. He is mentioned in the West Blowering School page and photo. He was KIA in 1918 in Palwstine during WW1

Richard and Sarah Quarmby arrived at Kiandra about 1861. They had four children at that time Matilda, Elizabeth, Edwin, and Walter and had travelled by horse and wagon from the gold field at Osborne Flat, near Yackandandah, Victoria.

Selina was born on the 25th June, 1862, at New Chum Hill, Kiandra, NSW, an area about 2.5 k's from Kiandra. Her father was 36 years of age and her mother Sarah was 26 years.She was born in mid winter in the harsh environment of a tent, in the snow fields. They had 4 more children there Ezra, Lavinia, Henry and Rowland.

In about 1869 the family re located to Batlow, NSW (Formally known as "Reedy Creek")

As a younger man Ned was employed at "Wermatong" a local property owned by Mr Lavicourt & Mrs Emily Harris as a handyman - carpenter.

As it happened Selina was also employed at Wermatong, as a Governess to the Harris children.

1934 - LINDBECK Edward Henry passed away in the Gundagai District Hospital at 3.10 o’clock yesterday morning. On 4 June 1884, he married Miss Selina Maria Quarmby, daughter of the late Richard Quarmby, of Batlow. Adelong & Tumut Express August 10, 1934 (Ref - Tumut & Adelong Newspaper Obituaries.)
